On Friday 26 September 2025, the Eyeweb team will be lacing up our walking boots for a marathon challenge like no other. We’re taking on a 26.2-mile stretch from Brough to Hornsea, making our way across Hull and the East Yorkshire countryside in support of NHS Health Stars.
But in true Eyeweb style, we couldn’t just leave it at that.
A Marathon with a Twist
We’re calling this challenge Cards Against Eyeweb. Throughout the day, we’ll be drawing cards packed with forfeits, unlocked by donations from our supporters. Each card comes with a difficulty rating, from “Easy” right through to “Evil”, with tasks ranging from the silly (like donning a ridiculous outfit) to the slightly questionable (eating a dog biscuit...).
The aim? To keep spirits high, bring a smile to everyone following along, and most importantly, raise as much money as possible for a cause that means a lot to us.
Why NHS Health Stars?
We’ve worked closely with NHS Health Stars in the past, providing excellent website development and web design services. They’re the official charity for Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, doing incredible work to support patients, families, and NHS staff.
They fund the extras that NHS budgets don't cover, making stays at their healthcare facilities brighter, more therapeutic and more comfortable. As a small charity, they rely on the generosity of local people and businesses, which is exactly why we wanted to step in and do our bit.
How You Can Get Involved
We’d love your support in helping us hit our fundraising target. You can get involved in two ways:
Donate directly through our official JustGiving page. Every penny counts, and every donation brings another forfeit card into play.
Sponsor the event as a business with a £200 donation. Sponsorships will go directly to NHS Health Stars while also giving local businesses the chance to show their support for a great cause.
All proceeds from Cards Against Eyeweb will go straight to NHS Health Stars, helping to enhance patient care and support NHS staff across the Humber region.
Join Us on the Journey
We’ll be sharing updates in the run-up to the event and live on the day itself, so you can follow our progress as we tackle all 26.2 miles.
