Eyeweb Raises more than £800 as Macmillan Game Heroes
The team at Eyeweb have raised over £800 in our 24hr gameathon in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Last year the national charity started the fundraising campaign Macmillan Game Heroes – a 24- hour gaming marathon and it proved a huge success. Eyeweb was delighted to sign up and last week stayed up for 24-hours in order to raise as much money as they could. Eyeweb transformed their working space at their riverside offices in Waterside House in the Maritime Business Park, Hessle, into a temporary gaming lounge on Thursday 8th February.
Managing Director, Paul Scott, commented:
“We all wanted to do something to support people affected by cancer and raise vital funds. At some point in our lives, each and every one of us will be affected by this disease in some way or another and this challenge seemed a perfect way for our team to get involved and raise some money in a fun way. “So when we clocked-off from work last Thursday we settled down to 24-hours of gaming! Scores of people and local businesses got on-board and supported us and we were all delighted to raise more than £800.”
We would like to say a huge thank you to all our sponsors, donators, clients, friends, family and beyond for supporting us in this great cause. The response was overwhelming and we couldn't have done it without you.
We are excited for our next charity event as a part of our community involvement and look forward to sharing it with our supporters.
