Say hi to Kate, our new content specialist. Kate joined Eyeweb this month with a diverse background in creative marketing, from professional photography to technical SEO. Kate’s biggest drive is travel, to see the world and experience all sorts of cultures and countries, beliefs, and histories. Creativity is the common theme in most of her hobbies – with a bit of thrill-seeking. Kate uses her experience in marketing to help small businesses understand how to reach their target audiences and appeal to their wants and needs.
We’ve asked her some questions so you can get to know him better.
Favourite marketing channel?
“Since starting in SEO, I have been drawn to Social Media Marketing. I love the strategy side, coming up with ideas, the who and the why, even designing some of the elements myself and writing the content. I like getting to know the audience behind the screen and thinking up what they would want to see – and then seeing that come to life.”
What’s your most browsed website?
"Probably the wiki of whatever game I’m playing at the time (currently Stardew Valley). But other than websites and the standard social media, I spend most online time on a Discord server with my friends all around the country. I mostly use the internet for research on my latest hyper fixation, from arts and crafts to gym workouts.”
What 3-course meal would you cook if you went on come dine with me?
"I love Japanese food, but I am also vegetarian, dabbling in veganism and not that great at cooking, so we aren’t off to a great start there – whatever I make might not taste great, or go together at all, but I can guarantee the presentation would be on point!”
What’s on your bucket list?
"I would love to learn sign language and visit Kew Gardens. I am big on traveling the world but how do you pin that down? I have already visited Japan and bought a house, which was my two big life goals growing up."
What are you most looking forward to in your new position at Eyeweb?
"I’m most excited about the great culture Eyeweb seems to have. They encourage creative thinking and changing things up to stay fresh and always have time to listen to my ideas and develop them further, no matter how quirky.”
How can we get hold of you?
"You can reach me at email@example.com or call the office on 01482 628830."
